emotive shortlisted for four awards at the PM Digital Awards 2016

Two technology-led healthcare communications projects developed by emotive have been announced as Finalists in the premier digital healthcare awards for 2016.



emotive’s reputation for delivering award-winning innovation in science- and technology-led healthcare communications continues to be reinforced with the news that two of its recent projects have been shortlisted for four awards at the PM Digital Awards 2016.

The PM Digital Awards celebrate the innovation, quality and results achieved in digital communications within the healthcare arena. Now in its seventh year, the event highlights the best programmes, tools and campaigns across a broad range of digital activities.

One of the projects shortlisted is a fully immersive, multisensory virtual reality experience within the hearts of aortic stenosis patients. For the first time, cardiologists can explore in detail the inside of different patients’ beating hearts, experience the symptoms and comorbidities of aortic stenosis, and change the disease’s severity to observe the impact on anatomy and physiology, before selecting the most suitable treatment. Bringing patient case studies to life like never before, the project has been shortlisted for awards in three categories: HCP Education and Support; Digital Solution for Congress/Symposium and Meetings; and Innovation.

The second is a Commissioning Toolkit app that combines a BIM, real-world local evidence and a disease progression simulation tool to effectively illustrate personalised cost-effectiveness and impact on patient outcomes across four indications. Shortlisted in the Digital Tools for Market Access category, the app outputs personalised business cases that support local funding applications whilst also allowing commissioners to visualise the actual clinical impact of their decision on patient treatment outcomes.
