Lucid Group Announce Neil Flash as its New Chief Commercial Officer

With over 20 years’ healthcare communications experience, Neil Flash joins Lucid Group as its Chief Commercial Officer to help lead the organisation through another exciting period of growth.

- PMLiVE

Neil joins the Lucid Group as Chief Commercial Officer in January 2020 from dna Communications, where he was EMEA Managing Director for six years, and responsible for the transformation of the company’s brand proposition across the EMEA region and expansion of its client partner portfolio. Prior to joining dna, he spent over five years at each of Huntsworth Health, Virgo and Cohn & Wolfe.

Applying a scientific background cemented with a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Portsmouth University, Neil has spent much of his career supporting some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and lifescience companies. He has represented brands across every stage of the lifecycle; helping client partners negotiate the healthcare sector’s ever-changing regulatory, commercial, scientific and communication landscapes in the UK domestic, EMEA, Asia Pacific and global environments.

Neil has been part of numerous award-winning teams including those which have won agency awards from Communiqué, Holmes Report and PRWeek; and campaign awards from Communiqué, PM Society and PR Week, and is a regular Communiqué Awards judge.

The Chief Commercial Officer role was specifically created to attract key talent like Neil into the Group – a clear reflection of Lucid’s commercial ambitions for 2020 and beyond. Neil will report to Dennis O’Brien, Lucid Group CEO, and sit on the Group’s Executive Committee.

Neil commented, “I am delighted to have joined a group with such an exciting vision and growth plan, and a passion for value-driven client partnership and team development, which matches my own. I have always considered Lucid to be a very special company. In my mind, its deep-rooted commitment for delivering inspiring, patient-centric programmes, underpinned by ambitious strategies for its client partners, sets it apart from many other consultancies. I’m very much looking forward to working alongside Lucid’s incredibly talented leadership, and team as a whole, as we continue our brand evolution.”

Dennis commented, “Neil is an exceptional communications professional and a talent we have admired for some time. His balance of commercial strategy, business and people focus make him a perfect fit for Lucid as he leads a core part of our business.”
