A Royal Engagement

Scientific engagement is one of the three core areas of expertise at emotive. and last week we were delighted to attend the official opening of the 'emotive. lab' at Beaconsfield High School for Girls, by Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Kent.

Through our partnership with the school, we are supporting students who will go on to become the next generation of scientists, researchers, & clinicians. We aim to instill the same level of passion for science and problem solving that is embedded in each and every one of us here at emotive.

Throughout the year, we will be presenting science students with challenges and learning opportunities, as well as discussing the huge variety of career opportunities available in healthcare communications and education.

In addition to sponsoring the emotive. lab, we have also established ‘The emotive. Prize For Scientific Engagement' which will be awarded to one final year student to help them as they transition to study a science or medical degree at university. The first of these annual prizes is due to be awarded in the next month.

Dr Gill Boucher, Medical Director at emotive. who attended the opening of the lab commented, “I was deeply honoured to meet the Duchess of Kent as well as many of the students who will be using the ‘emotive. lab’. We take great pride in the quality of our medical copy team and are passionate about helping inspire the girls at the school about science and the opportunities open to them for future careers in life sciences.”
