Welcome to the Communiqué Awards

Welcome to the Communiqué Awards 2019

The Communiqué Awards programme is specifically designed to recognise and commend excellence and best practice in European, international and local healthcare communications. The programme highlights the range and complexity of the issues facing healthcare communications professionals today and, against this backdrop, the extent to which outstanding work ultimately delivers real improvements in healthcare, enhances patient experience, builds trust with stakeholders and augments industry reputation.

A benchmark of excellence

The Communiqué Awards programme provides a showcase for healthcare communications, together with the means to champion the highest possible standards and help shape future thinking. The rigour of the judging process surprises many who are judging for the first time.

For 2019

Judging criteria have once again been refined to ensure a continued focus on effectiveness – evidence for and measurement of successful outcomes against key objectives.

Help in preparing your entry

You’ll find all you need to enter this year’s programme, including full category descriptions and judging criteria, in the entry kit and online.

Valuable tips from the judges about preparing your entry and a useful checklist are available and we strongly advise you to refer to both before preparing and finalising your entry for submission.

Please ensure that you write your entry with reference to the scoring criteria for each category so that you are fully aware of what specific information the judges will be looking for when allocating marks.

If you would like a member of the Communiqué Awards team to discuss the entry process with you and/or your team, please call or email Debbie Tuesley, or +44 (0)1372 414243.

The Communiqué Awards presentation

This year’s Communiqué Awards will be presented at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on 4 July 2019. Guests from a wide range of disciplines and geographies come together each year, providing a unique opportunity to share an evening with and be recognised by fellow professionals and important stakeholders. Join us for the Communiqué Awards 2019!

Good luck ...

So here we are at the kick off for Communiqué 2019. It's exciting to be part of such a prestigious awards programme that recognises and rewards the best of all healthcare communications in our industry. A celebration of the talented teams and individuals and the incredibly hard work that goes into conceiving, implementing and evaluating your healthcare communications initiatives.
But the work is not quite over - it is time to write your award entries, demonstrate the value of all your hard work and showcase the best our profession offers to patients and their families.
This year, as new co-chairs of the judges we have worked closely with the team to review the awards, entry kit and judging criteria, we are keen to maintain the award's reputation for robustness, stringency and transparency. Taking into account feedback from last year and with a fresh perspective, you will notice some refinements, such as an increased emphasis on the benefits to patients of the initiatives, and a widening of some criteria to make sure that the awards are evolving in line with the changes in all areas of our industry. So review the awards and the criteria carefully. We can’t wait to see the latest and greatest in all areas of Communiqué ahead of the judging period in May and recognise the short list and winners on the night in July.
