Oxford PharmaGenesis

Summary of work

Founded in January 1998, Oxford PharmaGenesis is an independent consultancy that has built a reputation for high-quality thinking and exemplary client service over the full range of medical communications. In a changing environment for pharma, we have conceived and delivered the HealthScience concept: a new discipline of integrated clinical, economic, social, behavioural and political understanding that enables effective healthcare communication in areas of unmet patient need. In 2012, our growth enabled us to open two new offices, employ our 100th member of the team, and achieve record sales figures.

We increased the value of existing accounts, won new ones and greatly expanded our dedicated Value Demonstration practice. Our high levels of client retention and satisfaction justify our commitment to maintaining the highest quality service. We can do this only by recruiting and keeping the best people; it takes time and effort, but is ultimately rewarding as our professionals develop into key client partners or vital internal support. Following a landmark year in 2012, we are on course for further growth in 2013 and will be at the forefront of redefining medical communications through our HealthScience approach.

Judges’ comments

The agency is technically brilliant, pulling social care political understanding and behavioural understanding together. Oxford PharmaGenesis’ Health Science concept speaks strongly to the increased need for integrated evidence. A really solid, traditional medical education agency continuing to do well.
