Six Domains: One Disease

by dna Communications for Celgene International

Summary of work

Psoriatic arthritis is a heterogeneous condition that involves up to six core domains, which can worsen the disease burden. However, when treating psoriatic arthritis, rheumatologists may focus more on joint inflammation.

Six Domains: One Disease is a campaign designed to educate rheumatologists about the six core domains of psoriatic arthritis and mobilise them to assess all six domains when treating patients, with the ultimate goal of better aligning the dialogue between physicians and patients.

To achieve this, we collaborated with leading rheumatologists to identify knowledge gaps amongst rheumatologists. We then developed evidence-based educational content that addressed their specific needs, enhancing it with compelling creative. We also created a downloadable bespoke clinical tool to encourage the application of new learnings into clinical practice.

We used traditional educational and scientific channels, as well as digital and social to reach and engage our intended audience.

The campaign led to strong engagement with the educational content, exceeding its target objectives. One in three rheumatologists were aware of the campaign and more than half demonstrated a strong recall and belief in the campaign’s messages. Importantly, 46% of rheumatologists indicated that the greater clarity about the disease’s six domains would likely impact their prescribing decisions.
