Summary of work

2022 was a year where Ashfield MedComms successfully built upon our shared purpose to ’make it matter’ while continuing to support our people through change. In parallel, we prioritised DEI and sustainability, supporting our local communities, culminating in November’s global ’make it matter’ day. In order to thrive, we focused on our people first, delivering enhanced training and career pathways, promoting 175 people and welcoming 249 new colleagues. Our industry-leading allegro.WRITE and allegro.EXCEL programmes continued to gain momentum, focusing on new science-writing talent and enhancing development for senior scientific team members. It was supplemented by our new BOOST programme, welcoming junior medical writers in diverse locations as dedicated team members, expanding our capacity. We partnered with experts from our broader business to deliver targeted solutions to optimise clients’ goals and expanded our footprint within our partner organisations via our internal network programme. 2022 was also a successful year from a financial perspective, with double-digit growth in both revenue and profit versus 2021. Our teams made us proud as we received outstanding feedback from our clients and their stakeholders, driving scientific debate and understanding, improving decision-making and ultimately, making it matter for patients.

The Ashfield entry had impressed the judges and the judges liked that the team were persevering in entering year on year. The junior person in the group was impressive. It was clear that they care about their work and their people.
