Hannah Davis
Summary of work
Hannah’s career in medical communications has been driven by an inherent desire to make a difference – transforming the lives of patients with the greatest unmet medical needs. She has drawn on her natural flair for building long-lasting and trusted partnerships to mobilise colleagues, clients and key opinion leaders to deliver innovative educational programmes, including 15 live stand-alone and 25 virtual events to an audience approaching 10,000 healthcare professionals. These programmes have been instrumental in bringing about change in treatment practice, improving patient outcomes and potentially saving lives. Hannah has an authentic leadership style that inspires passion, confidence and commitment. Coming from a background working in the prison system and with young offenders she has applied patience and empathy, trustworthiness and resilience to support those around her. This has been demonstrated through her implementation of the MS Masters Forum programme for the neurology HCP community providing vital information that ensured continued treatment of MS during the pandemic. As a result of the trusted partnerships Hannah has built with her clients, she completed a six-month secondment with her clients in 2021, during which time she received the ‘Peer-to-peer performance’ award for leading HCP educational programmes.
Judges’ comments
Hannah gave considered responses to the judges’ questions about her presentation, and they found she gained more confidence as the time went on. The judges were impressed with her patient engagement story about her involvement with a CAR-T cell patient who she remains in touch with, despite his initial six-month prognosis. It was moving to hear the tangible difference Hannah had made to his life.
