Summary of work

2013, our 10th year, was Virgo’s best yet. Exceeding all expectations, we grew by >30%* (yoy) by capitalising on our ‘divide and conquer’ strategy. From condoms to congresses, from London to Singapore and from dialogue to digital, the breadth and depth of the Virgo proposition enabled us to delight a diverse portfolio of clients and, in the process, take our business to the next level.

Building on our strengths and reputation, and evolving with the needs of our clients, we grew our existing business (organic growth) by 54%. By adding increased geographical reach, enhanced service offers and a new conflict practice, we also attracted significant new business (46%), with a 71% pitch success rate.

Key to our success was our team. During 2013 we attracted over 25 new joiners, celebrated our 10th anniversary as Rock stars and Divas, sent three of our team to experience GH life in the US and revitalised our company values to ensure we retained what makes us special. To top off an amazing year we were also re-awarded Investors in People status and ranked among the top 40 medium-size workplaces by Great Places to Work!

We loved their crystal clear strategy. Virgo are forging brave new paths with typical courage and energy to create a genuine global brand - the biggest, bravest strategy of all. It was great to see how well they are delivering against this strategy while remaining true to their Virgo values. Always impressive and this year - with all its change and challenges - has been handled so positively and with record-breaking success.
