Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) Assessment Academy Meeting Series
Summary of work
A new modular approach to assess and diagnose psoriatic arthritis (PsA) was developed by six leading KOLs during two UK Assessment Academy meetings. The credibility and quality is demonstrated through endorsement by two UK professional bodies, plus inclusion in an independent UK-wide clinical trial (18 centres) as the first clear guidance on the assessment process.
In addition, 34 clinics are implementing the modular approach (double the target) and 250 toolkits have been disseminated (20 per cent above target). Guy’s Hospital, London readily adopted this new approach clearly demonstrating the impact of this programme on earlier diagnosis and treatment of patients with PsA.
