iQ Learning and Partnerships in Inflammation

by Litmus MME for Pfizer

Summary of work

iQ is a faculty-led learning community supporting excellence in practice and continuous professional development of healthcare professionals responsible for the care of patients with inflammatory disorders.

In March 2011, 67 multidisciplinary healthcare professionals (HCPs) came together to uncover the current unmet educational needs and develop ideas for new learning opportunities. In 2011, over 300 HCPs participated in 12 CPD-accredited educational courses, addressing the clinical and professional needs of nurses, trainees and consultants working in rheumatology and dermatology.

All courses received exceptional participant feedback, with 98 per cent of those attending rating the courses as good or excellent overall.

Judges’ comments

I thought this programme was quite ambitious, well executed, and structured and I liked the branding. Whether we have all the outcomes we need is questionable, but a huge effort has clearly been made to give us all the information we need. It catered for two different disciplines and the job of pulling it all together and making sure it all joins together is impressive.
