At Celgene we see ourselves as bold. Our courage to take on the unknown and a willingness to challenge the status quo have driven our success. We are proud of the way we work collaboratively with investigators, commissioners and each other and we were curious to discover where a more collaborative approach would take us with our customers.
In answer to this we developed ‘Collaboration: Creating Value Together’ a set of learning and development interactions that encouraged our pilot team to look beyond the transactional sales process and the immediacy of a short-term ‘fulfilling-a-needs’ approach and attempt to create value with our customers in a more personal, and therefore more valuable, way for all parties.
Applying this mindset to our capability development has had a profound effect on how we work. Through collaborative working we feel as though we are on the same side as our customers, and that together we can focus on the things that make the biggest difference to the area that we always have in common: The patient.
This is an excellent capability programme delivering strong results for everyone involved. The refreshing execution of this programme won us over because of its experimental nature based on classroom learning.
