PMEA Support Agency of the Year

This category is open to any healthcare agency, consultancy, network or group working in global, European or UK healthcare environment that provides a support service to its pharmaceutical company client(s). Emphasis should be placed on the agency’s achievements within the period covered by this year’s awards (January 2020– June 2021). Entries should be accompanied by authorised references from at least three clients and some from key internal stakeholder(s). All references must be supported by full contact details and should be submitted via email alongside your entry submission.

Entries must include a high-resolution company logo.

You must have entered at least one other submission in these Awards. This/these entries need to be clearly referenced in your submission and included in your supporting materials.

The judges will be basing their decision solely on your written entry and supporting materials, using the judging criteria outlined below.

1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (max 200 words)

If you are nominated for an award, PMGroup may publish extracts from this summary, so ensure that it contains no confidential or sensitive information. No other part of your entry will be reproduced and the main content of your entry will remain confidential at all times.

Below is where the judges will be focusing their analysis and how they will score your entry.

2. AGENCY’S ACHIEVEMENTS AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE IN 2020 – June 2021 (end H1) (10)

Finance dashboard: 2019, 2020 and H1 2021

  1. Net Revenue (Revenue less pass-through costs; sometimes called ‘Gross Profit’): £ and % growth
  2. Contribution: £ and % of Net Revenue (Profit after frontline, fee earning personnel costs)
  3. ST&A: £ & % of Net Revenue ((Profit after Contribution and other costs)
  4. Operating Margin: %

Client dashboard: 2019, 2020 and H1 2021

  1. Number of clients
  2. Revenue represented by Top 3 clients: %
  3. Revenue represented by Top 10 clients: %
  4. New clients: Number and % of total

Personnel dashboard: 2019, 2020 and H1 2021

From the above information, the judges will be able to see the results achieved with resources available

Please provide 2019 data as well as 2020 and H1 2021 so the judges have a baseline against which to review your performance in 2020 and H1 2021.

3. VISION AND OBJECTIVES (10) (400 words)

  • What are your long term (3-5 year) vision and goals?
  • What does your business offer that’s different, valued by clients and hard to imitate or copy?
  • What were your business objectives for 2020 and H1 2021?

4. STRATEGY (10) (400 words)

  • What have you done in 2020 and H1 2021 to build towards your long-term vision and achieve your business results?
  • How have you developed your ‘offer’ to remain competitive?
  • What have you done in 2020 and H1 2021 to reinforce your vision and values?

5. PEOPLE (10) (400 words)

  • Explain your internal learning/processes, team engagement and development plus your innovation achievements
  • Explain how you attract and retain staff
  • Explain your people management and development strategy
  • Please provide personnel feedback

6. CLIENT SATISFACTION AND SUCCESS (10) (400 words)

  • Provide evidence of successful work or programmes undertaken on behalf of clients during 2020 & H1 2021 (success based on achieving of exceeding objectives)
  • Provide client and stakeholder feedback from at least 3 different clients
  • Provide information on client, account and brand retention and satisfaction

7. CSR (10) (400 words)

  • Show how you are contributing to our industry
  • Evidence that your work has contributed to enhancing the reputation of the agency/consultancy’s clients and/or the broader industry
  • Show how you are contributing to the business community
  • Show how you are contributing to your local community

8. KEY LEARNINGS DURING THE PERIOD AND IMPLICATIONS FOR THE FUTURE (10) (400 words)

  • What did you do particularly well in 2020 and H1 2021 based on client and stakeholder feedback?
