Germany's DocCheck has launched in India after striking a deal with local healthcare services firm D2L Pharma Research Solutions.
The companies have an exclusive cooperation agreement that covers market research, industry services and community management that will give DocCheck exposure to the more than 2m healthcare professionals in India.
Based in Bangalore, D2L Pharma Research Solutions' services include market research, clinical research, business intelligence and analytics and pharma product development.
“As a practicing physician I always believed that connecting to the external experts was the best way to learn newer and better practices,” said Dr Sashi Kiran, D2L's chief marketing director. “The partnership with DocCheck provides for shared best practices without barriers.
Cologne-based DocCheck claims a leadership position in online healthcare professional community market in Europe, where it has 840,000 users.
The company's core service is the DocCheck login, a password service which grants access to doctors-only areas of more than 2,500 medical websites.
