In business, a cash cow is a product or a business entity that produces remarkably high profit margins. The degree of profit margin this "cash cow" generates is so high that it is accountable for an extensive amount of a business's profit. This profit outweighs the amount necessary to sustain the cash cow business, and the overflow is used by the company for alternative functions.
