General practitioner (GP)

A doctor working in primary care - commonly within the NHS. A general practitioner (GP) is a medical practitioner who attends to acute and chronic illnesses and also provides preventive care and health education for all demographics. The title general practitioner or GP is generally used in the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom and several Commonwealth countries.
