Health economics

This describes the application of the theories, tools and economic concepts to the topics of health and healthcare. Economics is concerned with the allocation of scarce resources; health economics is concerned with issues relating to the allocation of scarce resources to improve health. This includes both resource allocation within the economy to the healthcare system and within the health care system to different activities and individuals .
