The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) aims to provide medical guidance, set industry standards and maintain a national database to advance people's health and prevent and treat poor health. NICE makes recommendations to the NHS on contemporary and existing medicines, treatments and procedures. It makes recommendations on the treatment and care for people with specific diseases and conditions.
