Almac Group appoints two new vice presidents

Dr John Robson and George Tiger join the team

Global contract development and manufacturing organisation Almac Group gas appointed Dr John Robson and George Tiger as vice presidents.

Robson joins as VP of quality operations at its Sciences’ business unit based in the UK. He will hold responsibility for the operations of the analytical services business and overseeing quality across the firm’s location in the UK and US.

Robson has over two decades of experience in business leadership, quality and analytical roles. He joins from Lonza Biologics, where he held the position of global head of analytical services.

Dr Stephen Barr, managing director of Almac’s Sciences business unit, said: “John has an impressive track record and will bring a wealth of industry experience to the existing Management team. We are delighted to have him join us.”

Tiger has been named as VP of global business development at Almac’s Clinical Technologies, based in the US. In the role, he will be responsible for commercial operations and business development.

He joins from Health Market Science, where he held the position of senior VP of life sciences sales. Prior to this, he spent over 12 years at ERT, a supplier of cardiac safety, respiratory and eCOA solutions, where her served in a series of management positions globally.

Jim Murphy, managing director of Almac’s Clinical Technologies business unit, commented: “We are pleased to welcome George to Almac. He clearly brings an impressive track record, which is especially important to us as we continue to drive global sales and advance our integrated solutions across the Almac Group.
