Surrey, UK-based Applied Photophysics has promoted Louise Madden to the position of chief executive officer.
Madden first joined the biophysical characterization service provider in 2014 as commercial director, before promotion to chief operating officer the following year.
She has over a decade of experience within the analytical instruments field having previously served as finance director at Farfield Group and global service manager at Biolin Scientific.
Prior to this, Madden spent 11 years at KPMG, where she worked in mergers and acquisitions for a range of independent and multi-national businesses.
David Berglund, Applied Photophysics' chairman, said: “I am delighted to see Louise appointed as chief executive officer.
“Her experience at the company level and her industry knowledge position her uniquely to lead Applied Photophysics at this exciting time in the company's development.”
