Japanese pharma company Astellas has appointed Bob Chib to a leadership role within its US corporate development function.
Chib will take up a position as executive director, corporate strategy, planning and initiative management and delivery, reporting to corporate development VP Yoko Saiki.
It's a role that will see him and his team support Astellas Americas President Jim Robinson and the Astellas Americas Management Committee in the planning and execution of corporate strategy.
Chib, who previously led Astellas' Strategic Accounts Business Unit, joined the firm in 2004 as associate director, urology and primary care marketing.
Prior that he served as senior group marketing manager at TAP Pharmaceuticals, the former US joint venture between Abbott and Takeda.
