London-based healthcare communications agency AXON Communications has expanded its senior team with three new appointments.
Sola Neunie (pictured right) joins as an associate editorial director, bringing 12 years of medical writing and management experience to the role.
Previously, Neunie was scientific team lead and principal medical writer at PAREXEL, a Boston, US-headquartered biopharma services company, and has held medical writing positions at Edelman, DDB Remedy and ScopeMedical.
Also joining AXON's senior team is Simonetta Ballali (pictured left), who becomes a programme director in the firm's medical communications stream.
Ballali brings experience as a scientific writer as well as project managing on-site studies for medical research from a number of companies across Europe, Latin America and India in both the public and private health sector.
Meanwhile, Andy Scott (pictured below right) returns to AXON as an associate director, having first joined as part of the agency's graduate programme in 2007.
Now based out of AXON's Copenhagen office, Scott brings experience as an associate director from Inspired Science to the role, as well as programme management and medical writing experience from his previous work with AXON.
Miranda Dini, managing partner of AXON, said: “Last year was an exciting time for AXON, to say the least, with further significant growth.
“To support our continued expansion - in both size and geographic footprint - we welcomed an incredible roster of talent in 2016.
“Between our long-standing colleagues - some of whom have been with us for more than 10 years - and the fresh perspectives of the newest members of our team, AXON has an exceptional group of talent in place, ensuring we are well-poised for another outstanding year in 2017.”
