Boehringer Ingelheim appoints Andreas Neumann as HR lead

He will also join the company's board ofmanaging directors

Boehringer Ingelheim Andreas NeumannAndreas Neumann has been appointed to the board of managing directors at Boehringer Ingelheim, which has also handed him responsibility for the corporate human resources board division.

Neumann joined the German pharmaceutical company in 2011 and managed its corporate legal division, before assuming charge of its human resources corporate division in early 2015.

Christian Boehringer, chairman of the shareholder committee, said: “Through the autonomous staffing of the Corporate Board Division Human Resources, we wish to highlight the importance of this area and orientate our long-term, international personnel development and personnel planning to future demands.”

Professor Andreas Barner, chairman of the Boehringer Ingelheim board of managing directors, said: “We are convinced that Andreas Neumann, in light of the significant changes occurring within the framework conditions, as well as various demographic and technological transformations, will reinforce our focus on the labour market that is going through global changes.”
