Cello Health has made three appointments to its senior leadership teams.
Jon Bircher (pictured right) has been promoted to the newly-created role of chief commercial officer and joins the Cello Health board.
Currently the chief executive officer of Cello Health Consulting, Bircher will continue in this role as well as taking on responsibility for developing the company’s brand, market positioning, reputation and commercialisation.
He joined the healthcare marketing strategy consultancy in 2006 and has previously worked in marketing and sales roles at AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sanofi.
Cello Health chairman Stephen Highley said: “Jon has played a key role in the development of our consulting offer and its excellent growth, particularly in the US, and we are pleased to bring his talent and vision to the board.”
Meanwhile, joint chief executive officers and founders of iS Health Group, Isaac Batley and Steve Smith have been appointed to leadership roles at Cello Health Communications Europe.
Batley becomes chief operating officer, Europe and takes on responsibility for the leadership and stewardship of its current business.
Prior to co-founding iS Health, Batley served as the development director for NHS Solutions with Quintiles and has also worked at AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sanofi.
Smith takes up the role of chief commercial development officer, Europe with a remit to develop new business propositions, services and products.
He previously served as managing director at Medicom International, an international healthcare publishing firm as well as ADA holdings and ICI Pharmaceuticals.
Both will continue in their existing roles at the Farnham, UK-based healthcare communications agency, which became a member of Cello Health in May 2014.
