Cipher has appointed pharma veteran Gerald McDole as chair of the board of directors.
McDole replaces William Garriock who resigned from the company, which specialises in commercialising novel formulations of existing molecules, at the end of last year.
Cipher will look to benefit from McDole’s extensive experience in life sciences, which includes a spell as president and CEO of AstraZeneca’s business in Canada.
Prior to this he was president and CEO of Astra Pharma in Canada before its merger with Zeneca.
McDole’s current positions include director of Medicure Inc and Paladin Labs Inc, as well as holding the position of chair of the boar of Sampling Technologies.
