India-based pharma company Cipla has appointed Adil Zainulbhai to its board as an independent director.
A native of India Zainulbhai moved to the US in 1979 to join consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He returned to Mumbai in 2004 to help grow the company’s presence in India, working with CEOs of many of the country’s largest firms across several industries.
Cipla chairman Y K Hamied said: “Adil’s 30 plus years of experience across various industries in India and globally will add a valuable perspective to our board of directors.”
Zainulbhai said: “Cipla has had a huge impact in providing affordable pharmaceuticals to the world while building a strong company. I look forward to helping Cipla become even more successful.”
