Cromsource expands executive leadership team

Dr Troy McCall, Dr Kerry Dyson, April McCall and Debbie Kent take up new roles

Italy-based contract research organisation Cromsource has made four appointments to its executive leadership team to coincide with the opening of its new North America headquarters.

Dr Troy McCall joins Cromsource as chief operating officer, based out of the new location at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Dr McCall has nearly 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has held senior leadership and advisory positions at CROs, private equity firms and non-profit organisations.

His most recent roles include serving as chief executive officer at Cetero Research and Premier Research Group, president of Advanced Clinical Research Services, and pharmaceutical development VP for Penwest Pharmaceuticals.

Dr McCall said: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to join the Cromsource team.

“We are well-positioned to execute our growth strategy by expanding our European and North American presence as we build upon the experience and expertise across the global organisation.”

Also taking up a new role at Cromsource is Dr Kerry Dyson who has been promoted to global head of its clinical research division.

Dr Dyson first joined the CRO in 2008 with responsibility for its corporate strategy and most recently served as head of the company’s UK operations.

April McCall also moves to the firm’s North Carolina office, becoming its vice president of commercial operations.

She brings over 18 years of marketing and business development experience to the role, joining from inVentiv Health Clinical where she had served at business development VP since 2013.

Finally, Debbie Kent becomes Cromsource’s global head of TalentSource, responsible for staff augmentation and insourcing, strategic management and development.

Prior to this, Kent served as worldwide director, functional services unit at Parexel, bringing global management experience from her work in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Dr Oriana Zerbi, founder and chief executive of Cromsource, said: “The addition of such experienced industry executives strongly positions Cromsource for future growth.

“Furthermore, our new office in North Carolina will allow us to serve our clients better who are based in, and around, Research Triangle Park.”
