Ergomed has appointed Dr Jan Petracek the new CEO of its pharmacoviglance business PrimeVigilance.
Dr Petracek was previously CEO of European PharmInvent Services, which Ergomed acquired in 2016 and subsequently integrated into PrimeVigilance, and prior to that he served at the likes of MediWound and Vertext Pharmaceuticals.
Dr Miroslav Reljanovic, CEO of Ergomed, said: “We are fortunate to have in the wings a replacement CEO of the calibre of Dr Jan Petracek.
“As founder of PharmInvent and former regulator at EMA, his unique combination of entrepreneurship and specialist pharmacoviglance expertise will serve to drive forward our pharmacoviglance businesses.”
Petracek will succeed Neil Clark who will become CEO of Destiny Pharma and will remain on Ergomed’s board of PrimeVigilance as a non-executive director and consultant during a transition period.
