Cambridge, UK-based genomics platform group Global Gene Corp (GGC), has appointed Dr Yaron Turpaz as its new chief data and technology officer, and managing director of the group’s Singapore base.
His new role will see him take responsibility for the enhancement and development of the company’s global data and technology infrastructure, advance analytics, data sciences and machine learning, as well as the expansion of GGC’s Asia operations.
He said: “I am inspired by the vision and mission of GGC and excited to join such a great team of leaders, scientists, engineers, clinicians and healthcare professionals with their expertise and thought leadership in the domain of genomics and precision medicine.

Turpaz brings over 17 years of experience across bioinformatics, IT, pharmaceuticals, digital health and genomics, most recently serving as chief information officer for Human Longevity (HLI), where he led the development of informatics, analytics and HLI’s Health Nucleus Medical Avatar App.
Prior to his time at HLI, he held a vice president, research and development role at AstraZeneca, a director at Eli Lilly role and a senior manager role at Affymetrix.
