Kane & Finkel has brought in ApotheCom ScopeMedical’s John Flaherty to take on the role of European director.
Based at the agency’s London office, Flaherty will be responsible for delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns for pan-European clients, while also developing new business in the region.
Commenting on his appointment, Flaherty said: “I am looking forward to the exciting developments Kane & Finkel has in progress and to bringing the expertise of a highly creative independent agency to clients in Europe.

Flaherty has experience in strategic planning, advertising and branding, medical education, PR, market access and digital development; having held various leadership positions with GSW Worldwide, Lowe Healthcare, Sudler & Hennessey and Huntsworth Health.
During his career he has worked on a number of award-winning strategies and creative campaigns in prescription, device, diagnostic and OTC categories.
In addition, as director of communications for the UK’s Health Education Authority, he also developed public health campaigns for AIDS, smoking cessation, childhood immunisation and heart disease.
