McCann Health UK has appointed industry veteran David Barratt to the role of executive director.
He will be charged with leading the expansion of the agency’s capabilities, developing new communications initiatives and bolstering existing offerings for global and European clients.
The appointment will see McCann Health’s managing director Phil Bartlett report to Barratt, who will in turn report to the agency’s European vice president of McCann Health Michel Nakache.
Commenting on Barratt’s appointment Nakache said: “David brings with him many years of success in running and growing communications agencies of differing sizes and offerings and he will be a great asset to the business.”
During his career, Barratt has been managing director of Apothecom Europe, managing director of Lowe Healthcare Europe, CEO of Euro RSCG Life London and director of Healthcare Communications Consultancy.
Most recently he served at Austin Lee Resources, a recruitment agency focusing on healthcare, finance and procurement, where he will continue as a non-executive director.
