MedTech Europe appoints new board of directors

Chair of the board Michelle Brennan is among those newly elected

Medical technology European trade association MedTech Europe appointed a new board of directors at its recent general assembly in Brussels, Belgium.

Michelle Brennan, company group chair for Johnson & Johnson’s EMEA medical device business, was elected as the new chair of the board, succeeding Rob ten Hoedt, executive vice president and president EMEA for Medtronic.

He moves on to the new operations management committee where he will sit as vice-chair, along with Systmex’s Jurgen Schulze and Laboratory Diagnostics’ Kerstin Wagner.

Meanwhile, Abbott’s vice president diagnostics division commercial operations EMEA region, Greg Ahlberg joins the board of directors alongside Novartis’ EMEA president Ian Bell.

Michael Heuer, president EMEA-LATAM diagnostics region for Roche has also been elected to the board of directors.
