Medical communications company mXm Group has hired six new starters to its editorial and account handling teams as part of a strategic growth programme.

Chris Watson joins the agency as its editorial manager after previously holding a number of senior editorial and medical writing positions at Springer Healthcare, Touch Briefings, Mudskipper and Elsevier.

Also joining the editorial team is Eliana D’Araio, who takes up a medical writing position.

She previously worked in communications on life science and microbiology products and as a Biobank scientist and technical writer.

The mXm account handling team has been strengthened with the addition of Tony Cornell as event director.

He joins the group from Website 42, where he was head of events and has gained experience in both the UK and Dubai.

Joining as a senior account manager, Sunita Ram previously  worked in medical communications account management at DMC, Fishawack and Succint, following earlier roles within clinical medicine operations.

Meanwhile, Goldie Osei and Alice Wood both take up account executive roles at the group.

Commenting on the latest round of appointments, Peter Dommett, managing director of mXm Group, said: “We invested significantly in 2017 in building a ‘nothing but the best’ team, comprising both those with solid relevant experience from other respected organisations and raw young talent which can grow and thrive within the supportive mXm environment.

“I am delighted to welcome the latest additions to the team.”
