New operations head for Spirit Healthcare

Spirit Healthcare has appointed an operations director in preparation for continued growth.

Quentin Hayes joins the UK-based healthcare solutions business following a 15 year stint at pharma firm AstraZeneca, where he was an operations manager.

The move marks a change of direction for Hayes with Spirit specialising in the provision healthcare solutions to the NHS and private hospitals. This is focused on diabetes and dermatology.

With two decades' healthcare experience, covering sales, marketing, medical affairs, governance and operations management, Hayes said he was excited to join a company “which is fresh, forward-thinking and bold”.

“I'm going to be working with the company to develop its frameworks for the next exciting period of growth,” he added.

At Spirit, Hayes will be responsible for logistics, customer service, project management, quality management, HR and facilities management. He will report to Spirit managing director Chris Barker and will have 12 people reporting to him, including two managers.

“Quentin will help us take the company to the next level, he's going to be a valuable recruit as we expand,” said Barker.
