Novartis has appointed Haseeb Ahmad as its managing director and country president for the UK and Ireland.
Previously a managing director for Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD), Ahmad brings almost 20 years of experience in the industry with more than 13 years based in the UK.

Alongside his role, Ahmad will also be a member of the Swiss pharma firm's European Executive Committee (EEC).
