Owen Mumford appoints general manager for SEMEA

Eric Del Cotto to oversee operations of medical device firm in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa

Eric Del Cotto, Owen MumfordUK medical device firm Owen Mumford has appointed Eric Del Cotto as general manager for the Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA) region.

Del Cotto replaces Owen Mumford’s general manager for France Philippe Meersch, who retires at the end of September, with the SEMEA position implemented as part of a restructure of the company’s global operations.

The new role is based in France and involves the management of sales, marketing, customer service and business development teams to promote Owen Mumford’s medical devices in the region.

Del Cotto has worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years, including most recently at KCI Medical in France, where he managed a global team of marketing and business development specialists.

He also has experience at Molnlycke Healthcarein Sweden and 3M Healthcare in France.

Jarl Severn, managing director, paid tribute to the departing Meersch, who had been with Owen Mumford for 22 years.

“We wish him well in his retirement and thank him for his invaluable contribution to the business,” said Servern.

He added: “I am looking forward to working with Eric and have every confidence we will see Owen Mumford’s presence increase substantially across the SEMEA region under his expert leadership.”
