Pegasus recruits corporate services lead

Health comms agency announces new business

Duncan Mackenzie-Reid The UK's largest independent health communications consultancy, Pegasus is moving into corporate services with Duncan Mackenzie-Reid to lead the new team.

Mackenzie-Reid has more than 25 years' board-level consultancy experience. In addition to setting up health, sport and sponsorship divisions at Lexis PR, he has advised a number of clients across the health and health services sector including BMI hospitals, the NHS Supply Chain and The Health Lottery.

Under his leadership, the new team will offer corporate reputation and issues management, business brand-building, thought leadership and crisis communications. Their remit will also include media training, sponsorship development, CSR and employee engagement.

Deputy managing director Simon Hackett described corporate communications as “an obvious fit” for Pegasus, and another step towards creating a full-service, fully integrated communications consultancy.

“Accessing Pegasus' well-known creativity and integrated delivery means we can craft corporate campaigns that achieve stand-out for our clients in the market, activate positive stakeholder sentiment and drive commercial growth”, added Mackenzie-Reid.

The team is currently three-strong, and Pegasus is currently looking for “a social media-savvy account manager with corporate PR skills and a health sector background”, Mackenzie-Reid told PMLiVE.

His team's first priority, Mackenzie-Reid added, was to ensure the market understands Pegasus'new proposition.

Describing the company as “well-versed in brand defence and crisis communications”, he said: “We see increasing scope to help clients high-impact thought leadership and stakeholder engagement programmes.”

Clients include Bayer, Novo Nordisk, Fittleworth, Dr Reddy's and Holland & Barrett.
