Red Consultancy has appointed Avril Lee as a managing director of its healthcare team – Red Health.
Lee (pictured below) has over 20 years of global and UK-based healthcare experience in both corporate and brand communications for a number of pharma, biotech, diagnostic and health companies. She will bring expertise and insight to Red Health, to further the company’s capabilities.

Lee previously worked as deputy global healthcare practice chair at Burson Marstellar, managing director, health UK & EMEA at MSLGROUP and CEO of Ketchum UK. Prior to joining Red, she was seconded to Vertex Pharmaceuticals as director of communication for the North region, where she was responsible for UK, Ireland and Nordics.
As part of her past experience, Lee has led award-winning global and UK campaigns – most recently winning last year’s Communiqué Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsiblity for work with Merck’s in-neglected tropical diseases.
