Spanish pharmaceutical group Reig Jofre has promoted Gabriel Zapatero (pictured right) to chief operating officer (COO) from his previous role as chief financial officer (CFO), following almost 15 years’ of service to the company.
His new role will see him lead the operational optimisation process of its business units, follow-up international subsidiaries in the UK, Sweden and Singapore and he will also take the helm of the company’s expansion projects.
Meanwhile, Roser Gomila (pictured left) is appointed as chief financial officer, taking the financial responsibilities led by Roig to date.
Her career has seen her serve as chief financial officer and deputy general manager for Simon Holding, where she was responsible for corporate finance area, as well as for the information systems department for the group.
She has also served in various capacities for GE Capital from 1995-1999.
