The healthcare and lifestyle communications agency Spink has appointed ex political communications executive James Butcher as its senior account executive.
Previously at the office of Conservative MP Tim Loughton, where he was responsible for all media communications, Butcher (pictured) will be working across awareness campaigns including BEAMA, UEG patient relations and Orchid – the UK charity devoted to research and treatment in men’s cancers.
He brings considerable political experience to the team as he has worked as a campaign manager for a mainstream political party, and as a researcher and aide for a Member of Parliament.
Butcher also has an extensive knowledge of local government, having served as a locally elected representative on three different councils.
Spink counts Reckitt Benckiser, Lanes Health and United European Gastroenterology amongst its client portfolio.
