Virgo Health has boosted its digital and creative teams with the appointments of Nicole Burns and Paul Andrews to the 'Virgo Pharmacy', the agency's creative studio.

Burns becomes social media strategist at Virgo, bringing experience in social media strategy, marketing campaigns and sales to the role.

She moves to the post from Spinnaker London, where she served as its social and public relations manager, and prior to this was the marketing and communications officer for retail and trading at Barnardo's, the UK children's charity.

Meanwhile, Andrews has been appointed as head of design at Virgo, and brings nearly 10 years of experience working on healthcare campaigns in advertising, medical education and public relations.

He joins from Ogilvy Healthworld, where he was a senior designer, and also brings experience as a freelance designer with Saatchi & Saatchi.

Rebecca Rhodes, Virgo's chief global creative officer, said: “Like any other, audiences in the healthcare space have come to expect more human and personalised forms of communication and there is a greater demand for more inspiring and ultimately creative forms of engagement than we have ever see in our industry before.

“With this mind, we are delighted to welcome Nicole and Paul to the Virgo team and with their expertise look forward to developing even bolder, braver campaigns that capture the attention of our clients' audiences.”
