WE UK appoints Catherine Devaney as head of health

She joins the digital and comms agency from Red Door Unlimited

Public relations group WE UK has appointed Catherine Devaney to head up its health sector business to bolster the agency’s global health offering.

Her new role will see her build on WE’s health communications capabilities while growing the client base across pharma, med-tech and consumer health.

Joining a team of communications professionals based in London, Devaney’s appointment is the latest in a wave of new hires for the group.

Marcus Sorour, general manager at WE UK, said: “The momentum we are experiencing in our health business is underscored by our ability to attract top talent, and I am thrilled to have Catherine join WE at such an exciting time for the agency.

“With patients more empowered than ever before and the regulatory environment changing, the pressure to innovate is huge, and Catherine’s track record in health will move WE to the next level.”

Devaney joins from Red Door Unlimited, where she spent 16 years - most recently as managing director - working with pharmaceutical clients including AstraZeneca, Astellas, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline and MSD.

She said: “WE already has great health clients, and I’m excited to build on this to create a health offering which is known for its focus on the client experience, quality of people and results.”
