Hello and welcome to the weekly round-up of communications appointments. Here you will find a recent selection of movers within agency, medcomms, med-ed, advertising, PR, creative and digital firms.
AXON, a medical communications group, has strengthened its agency offerings with two internal promotions.
First on the list is Natalie Turner (pictured), who has taken on the leadership of AXON’s London PR stream as its director.
Turner has been with AXON for almost a decade, during which she has lead the agency’s focus in patient advocacy and grass-roots communications activities.
Aside from this, Turner also launched AXON’s Patients at the Heart (PATH) initiative three years ago.
She succeeds Sam Barnes (pictured), who has been promoted to senior director, a role which will see him drive the firm’s global healthcare PR and marketing communications footprint.
Barnes has more than 18 years’ experience in strategic healthcare communications and marketing, and since 2010 he has been with AXON.
Commenting on the news, Miranda Dini, managing partner of AXON’s European offices, said: “Sam and Natalie are both smart, fun, energetic, collaborative and driving forces in the company, and I consider myself lucky to have them on my senior team.
“As they take on these new responsibilities, I know they will continue to help drive the growth and diversification of our business, and bring new perspectives to the team here in London and globally.”
