Wilmington Healthcare appoints managing director

Gareth Thomas joins the healthcare intelligence provider

Wilmington Healthcare Gareth ThomasUK-based Wilmington Healthcare has appointed Gareth Thomas as its managing director.

In his new role, Thomas will have responsibility for driving growth and integration in Wilmington Healthcare's four brands, Binley's, NHiS, OnMedica and Wellards.

Thomas moves to the healthcare intelligence provider from Informa, where he joined as European sales director in 2012 before promotion to his most recent role as director of global key accounts.

Previously, Thomas served as international development director for Doctors.net.uk - part of the M3 Group - and was responsible for setting up global physician online community alliance Networks in Health.

He also brings experience from pharmaceutical CRM and data provider Cegedim, where he was vice president for North Europe, and IMS Health, where he served as marketing director for global services.

Richard Adams, director of the Insight division at parent company Wilmington plc, said: “Gareth has a wealth of experience in sales and marketing for pharmaceutical and healthcare industries in the UK and overseas.
