UK-based Alpha-Plus Medical Communications has become part of the Fishawack Group of Companies, an independent medical communications agency with offices in the UK and US.
Sarah Harding (formerly Clow) and George Clarkson, the founders of Alpha-Plus, explained: "We want to see Alpha-Plus grow and believe that we can achieve this most effectively as part of a larger group with the additional resources that this offers."
They added that both Fishawack and Alpha-Plus share a "closeness in business culture and a shared commitment to quality".
Oliver Dennis, CEO of Fishawack, said: "We acquired Nexus Communications in December last year; this latest deal is step two of a buy-and-build plan that will see Fishawack become recognised as the leading independent medical communications specialist. Clients want the dedication and personal service that they receive from a small agency, but with the resources of a large agency."
He continued: "The Fishawack Group of Companies gives them the best of both worlds, maintaining the small agency approach but with the combined strength and stability of a much larger organisation. We are very excited about Alpha-Plus joining the group."
Alpha-Plus will continue to trade as a separate brand within the group, but the companies will share resources where a cross over in delivery services permits.
