Archimed drug safety specialists rebrand

Archimed Medical Communication is now known as Fishawack Archimed.

The rebranding follows the company's integration into the Fishawack group of companies, a global specialist in medical communications services.

Founded in 1997 in Zofingen, Switzerland, Fishawack Archimed has developed into a specialist provider of drug safety and regulatory communications, including pharmacovigilance support.
Archimed joined the Fishawack Group in May 2013.

“The new European pharmacovigilance legislation issued in July 2012 has a significant impact on the pharmaceutical industry, far beyond drug safety departments,” said Dr Charlotte Maddox, director of pharmacovigilance services at Fishawack Archimed.

“Pharmacovigilance has now become an important topic at senior management level. If marketed products don't meet the requirements for solid efficacy and safety data, the risk of drug withdrawal or limitation of market access are possible serious consequences.”

“Fishawack Archimed is highly experienced in performing thorough examinations of the benefit ̶-risk profiles of drugs,” said the company's commercial director, Violetta Kyburz.

“Our experience across a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas and drug classes enables us to provide qualified drug safety, medical information, and regulatory support to our clients.”

“The team is highly experienced in helping our clients' safety groups navigate the increasingly complex pharmacovigilance requirements set by regulatory authorities.”

The Fishawack Group of Companies has offices in the UK, the US and Switzerland. It made its second US acquisition, JK Associates, in April 2014.
