The Creative Floor Awards has handed its latest £15,000 Talent & Diversity fund to The Ideas Foundation – a charity focused on helping disadvantaged teenagers find a career in advertising – for the second year running.

Judged by the winners of the 2016 awards, applicants were quizzed on who they would use the fund to help bring untapped talent and diversity into health and wellness communication agencies.

This year’s submissions came from Creative Access, The School of Communication of Arts 2.0, Pitch It, Nutri Troops and The Ideas Foundation.

Heather MacRae, managing director of The Ideas Foundation, said: “With The Creative Floor funding, we will be able to give young imaginative minds the opportunity to work with some of the world’s coolest comms companies, working on healthcare briefs.

“Our mission at The Ideas Foundation is to make exciting, creative career paths open to all teenagers.”

The money will help The Ideas Foundation continue to direct more diversity and talent into health and wellness agencies.

Robin Wight, founder of The Ideas Foundation, said: “We are so thrilled that The Ideas Foundation has won this wonderful award for the second year. The impact of the work we did on mental health last year working with McCann Health was so impressive.”

Previous winners of the fund have included The School of Communications of Arts and The Ideas Foundation.

The Creative Floor Awards are now in their fourth year and founder Shaheed Peera said they would be looking to celebrate “more creative excellence and raise even more money for this year’s Talent and Diversity fund”.
