First Movember and now Decembeard

Beating Bowel Cancer rallying support for more fundraising facial hair

Beating Bowel Cancer has called upon its supporters to grow more facial hair, as it launches the 2012 fundraising campaign Decembeard.

With Movember now in full swing, the UK bowel cancer charity is hoping to leverage some of the Australian charity's global success of persuading men to grow a moustache during November in order to raise money for men's health issues.

Decembeard takes the formula one step further by asking fundraisers to spend December growing a full beard.

Last year the campaign raised £20,000 for the charity, which went towards raising awareness of the UK's second biggest cancer killer.
