Healthcare communications specialist KnowledgePoint360 has opened its first Scottish office.

Based in central Glasgow's West George Street, the move is part of 'a long-term commitment to become a leading player in the Scottish medical communications community', according to the company.

“We know there is a strong talent pool in Scotland and want to take advantage of this by establishing a permanent Scottish base as part of our continued growth strategy,” said Jon Bigelow, CEO of KnowledgePoint360.

The new team will be made up of medical writers and project managers, and a spokesperson told PMLiVE that there is no cap on the number of recruits – it is more a matter of finding the right people with the right skills. The company is seeking experienced medical writers as well as those with life science degrees or PhDs and a passion for science communication and writing.

“A lot of talented individuals who want to work in this field travel to England to get their foot on the ladder, and then end up having to stay there to advance their careers. So it makes sense to create fresh opportunities for all levels while expanding our company's reach,” said director of scientific affairs Rachel Forsyth, who will run the Scottish office.

“Our people are our most important asset, so we will welcome new colleagues to our Glasgow office with a competitive salary package, family-friendly working and opportunities for career development,” she added.

Headquartered in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, KnowledgePoint360 has global staff of 700. The company has a broad range of expertise, including digital solutions, benchmark-based advisory services, medical education, publication support, live educational scientific content development, training, exhibit design and strategic consulting.
