Fishawack grows with eight new starters

Eight new starters have joined the Fishawack group of companies across Fishawack Communications, Fishawack Scientific Communications, and Alpha-Plus Medical Communications

Eight new starters have joined the Fishawack group of companies across Fishawack Communications, Fishawack Scientific Communications, and Alpha-Plus Medical Communications, which became part of the Fishawack group in June 2010.

Steve Bailey now heads the Fishawack studio after a working as a freelance designer, Sam Harris has joined from Caudex Medical as an account executive, and Ross Kilhams brings significant web development experience to Fishawack's Digital Solutions team.

Five new writers have also joined the UK offices. Claire Gibbons, Rachel Kendrick and Susan Turrell begin straight from their PhDs, while Laura D'Castro and Emma East bring several years of additional postdoctoral experience to the group.

"In today's arena, it is not just the company that chooses the candidate – recruitment decisions are increasingly two-way," said Gail Flockhart, managing director. "Candidates from other agencies and fresh from research have a range of options, and we are delighted that all our new starters have chosen to join the Fishawack Group."

"This is great news," added Oliver Dennis, CEO. "The Fishawack group of companies is now one of a handful of independent medical communication specialists with UK and US teams able to offer the dedication and service of a smaller agency combined with the stability and resources of the broader group. Building our core teams and strengthening new service areas, such as Digital Solutions, is essential to the success of both our clients and the Fishawack group."
